Local Happenings

Gary Penfield takes Gold
at the Atlantic Regional Tournament

Those of you who play in Danvers, Beverly or West Peabody most likely have met Gary. In case you haven't "Here's Gary" with his partner Dee Woods

2015 Atlantic North Region Mixed Doubles 70 – 74 Gold Metal Winners Dee Woods and Gary Penfield.
I had a great partner and we played very well together. Thanks Dee!!!
There were hundreds of people playing in the different categories. The region covers from Virginia and West Virginia up through Pennsylvania and then up through the Maritime Provinces. There were also some people there from Louisiana. I was the only Amputee in the tournament! I am very proud to have been able to compete with these people. Bringing home the Gold Metal is quite an accomplishment for me
