Humbled in Harwich

It began with a 13-11 loss overtime loss. I was matched with Reading Pickleball Academy graduate, Lauren Healy. We played them tough but Marjorie Berger and Herbie Muther edged us out. Herbie is 92, plays golf twice a week, tennis twice and pickleball three times per week. And he was wounded while fighting the Germans in the Italian Alps in WW II. A wonderful man. I'm thinking of challenging him to a bocce match.
Ask for Frank Crowley if you get here and he will set you up.

South Yarmouth

Where can you play and finish up in what Darwin calls the "biggest hot tub on the Cape," Flax Pond South Yarmouth. Darwin Quealey's the guy in South Yarmouth.

Marstons Mills

Some very good picklers here but no swimming onsite, a real letdown.  It's where I first heard of a frogg tog. I've been wearing mine to work. It's very helpful in keeping you cool on a hot day. George Rice is the man you want see for play.

Sandwich

Some very good players here on Peter's Pond as well. Either that or I am getting worse as the week goes on. I'm sure we will be seeing our share of these players at the MA Senior Games. There were 30 people for four courts and the wait was short. You'd only have time for a quick dip before you were on the court again. Lois Wallace and Dave Brower will see that you get on the court.
